A Beaux-Arts Courthouse Turned All-Night Club
A Halloween weekend concert inside the Surrogate's Courthouse rotunda — a landmarked Beaux-Arts room defined by its carved stone arches, wraparound mezzanine, and ornate coffered dome. Electronic artist Sistek headlined a packed costume crowd of 1,500+, with full club-grade audio, an immersive color-wash lighting program cycling from magenta to acid-green to blue across the carved stonework, and an overhead perspective that turned the rotunda floor into a sea of costumes and raised hands. One crew ran PA placement, console engineering, and a lighting design that treated the architecture as the rig — every arch, column, and dome detail became part of the show.
